Kansas City Residents Approved $25 Pot Fine
Kansas City residents are looking for alternative measures to dealing with marijuana offenders. The community as a whole believes hundred of dollars in fines and lengthy incarceration is not the answer. Almost 75% of voters approved the ballot initiative question 5. This would change how police and government deal with marijuana offenses in Kansas. The aim is to reduce fines associated with marijuana. Residents would be able to carry up to 35 grams or less of marijuana. Marijuana violations would cost you just a $25 fine, better than jail time.
