Morgan Freeman Marijuana Supporter
Morgan freeman has been an outspoken supporter of marijuana. Freeman said in 2008, he was in a severe car accident. That left shattered bones in his arm, shoulder and elbow. Morgan has said publicly that marijuana was the only source of relief from his pain.
During an interview with the Daily Beast Morgan said, “there are too many medical benefits for lawmakers to ignore the issue, and public opinion, any longer.
Morgan Freeman also said “many useful uses. I have fibromyalgia pain in this arm, and the only thing that offers any relief is marijuana,” Freeman also said. “They’re talking about kids who have grand mal seizures, and they’ve discovered that marijuana eases that down to where these children can have a life. That right there, to me, says, ‘Legalize it across the board!’”
With so many celebrities stepping out in support of marijuana, will this help bring federal legislation? Celebrities are publicly talking about their marijuana use. Rather their lighting up for recreational purposes or health reason. The benefits are there. Currently more than 70% of Americans are in support of legalizing marijuana.
The government job is to echo the voice of the people. The government as a whole, Is over stepping their boundaries. the government job was never to tell the public how to live there lives.
Marijuana is illegal not for its lack of benefits. Actually marijuana may have to many benefits. The true reason comes down to money and control. If marijuana was fully exploited for its full potential. A lot companies would not survive. Marijuana would eventually start to take over a wide range of industries. Everything from pharmaceuticals, fuel, clothing, and construction companies, Would be in jeopardy of losing market shares.
Currently marijuana is classified as a schedule 1 drug. A schedule one drug is any drug that has no medical use. This scheduling was set in place to hinder research and development of marijuana. Currently scientist and doctors trying to conduct research, could wait years for approval by the U.S Department of Health and Human Services. Marijuana medical uses should be fully researched without boundaries. Legalizing marijuana should not be a debate.
Should marijuana be legalized?
