Richmond Cop Found With Weed
During a search of Officer Joe Avila home. Officers found marijuana. Since the finding Officer Avila has been on paid administrative leave pending a full investigation. This is a clear example of how bias our judicial process has become in America.
If you’re a average person and your found with weed, you’re going to jail in most places. If you choose to argue or plead your case its a strong chance you will be beat the fu#k up. If I am found with drugs in my house or car, The police currently have the right to seize any property or possessions the marijuana was found at. People have had their homes and cars taken from marijuana cases. Why is this different for Officer Avail I understand he is a cop. So does that means you deserve special treatment.
What lead to officer Avila suspension and investigation. Officer Avila failed to file 37 reports were marijuana was confiscated. This lead to Officer Avila investigation were marijuana was first found in his car then more in his home. Officer Avila broke the law so he should be in jail. We don’t get second chances or paid leave. So why should he.
Many smokers in the USA today are college grads and business owners. We are well aware of how our decisions affect our lives. We are more than capable of making informed decisions when it comes to our lives. If we choose to smoke we should not risk our cars, homes or property being taken. We should not be treated as if we are criminals. The same leeway that was given to officer Avila should be given to all citizens. Another example of cops protecting cops. Who protects the people from the cops.
