PA Marijuana Bill
Pennsylvania is seeing the benefits of legalizing marijuana. Now PA marijuana bill is on the agenda. So will marijuana dispensary become the norm in PA?
Harrisburg- The Pennsylvania Senate passed the latest version of Pennsylvania’s medical marijuana bill Tuesday afternoon.
PA voted for a bill that would make marijuana legal for patients suffering from serious illnesses. The bill passed with a vote 40-7
The new bill is known as SB-3, sponsored by Sen. Mike Folmer. This bill would allow patients to receive editable marijuana and allow vaporizing. Smoking marijuana would not be allowed under this bill. Patents also would not be able to grow their own plants.
Only patients suffering from cancer, seizures, amyotrophic, lateral sclerosis, cachexia wasting syndrome, Parkinson’s, traumatic brain injury, PTSD, sever fibromyalgia, hiv/aids,glaucoma, crohns disease, diabetes and chronic pain. Only people suffering from these disorders will be able get prescriptions from their doctors.
Patents under 18 would need parental consent
This bill will be will be sent to the state House of Representatives.
Now we just have to wait and see how the House decides to vote.
Medical marijuana would benefit to many people for state official to continue to treat it as just another drug.
