The two leaders of these groups contacted Bob to set up a peace concert. Many were afraid for Bob to go through with this show from fear for Bob’s life. The day before the show a group of men broke into Bob’s home and shot up his house. They tried to kill everyone; a few got shot in the chest and head. Luckily no one died. The next day the peace concert was scheduled to take place. Bob thought about not going. Marley decided to attend the show.

People that were at the concert reported feeling a sense of euphoria and peace. People reported during the whole show all you could feel was love. These are the same people who a week before was at war with each other now celebrating together. At the end of the concert, the Prime Minister Michael Manley and the opposition leader Edward Seaga joined hands with Marley. Through the ganja, smoke history was being made.
