Smoking Weed Makes Me Jittery, a Few Negative Effects of Smoking Weed

We all have had positive and negative experiences when it comes to smoking weed, like smoking weed makes me jittery sometimes. Every high is different every strain is different. You will never know how your bodies’ chemistry will react to various plants.

Most of the time at least from my experience most of my highs have been pretty chill. There are a few exception and times where I have smoked and felt jittery, a few times smoking actually gave me the shakes, it was weird. The worst experience was passing out, after getting high. To see what happen in all three situations continue reading.

Why Does Smoking Weed Make You Jittery

A few times I have smoked and felt jittery, was usually when I smoked weed I was unfamiliar with. Everything would be fine at first. Then around 15 min after smoking my body just feel off. I would feel jittery and just weird. I would look at the people around me and no one else really seem to be reacting like this.

I later learned a few things that works for me and reasons this may have happen. One is simply the weed did not go well with my bodies chemistry. This is a simple fix just don’t smoke that particular strain again. Another reason I released is weed can increase your overall mood and frequency in a different way.

So if your already vibrating high and smoke weed, this can cause a dip in your vibration or frequency. This is just my self-assessment. So if I am in a really good mood and just chill sometimes if I smoke it feels like the weed brings my energy down, this sometimes causes me to get jittery. Something I learned that what works for me is to drink orange juice before or after smoking. Not sure what’s the scientific reason for this but if I do feel jittery and drink orange juice it helps to calm me down, when smoking weed gives me the shakes.

Smoking Weed and Passed Out

This is something that I don’t think a lot of people actually experience but it does happen. I have only met a few people that have smoked marijuana and actually passed out. Honestly I thought I was the only person. Until one of my friends was telling a story that was similar to my own.

He was saying how he was smoking with a few friends and began to feel dizzy and passed out. I had a similar experience I had been smoking weed and drinking the night before. So the next morning of course it’s a wake and bake. Then I go outside it’s around 90 degrees outside.

We smoked in the car on the way to where we were going. Once we got there I was just standing in the hot sun. For some reason when you’re about to faint your brain doesn’t register this until it’s too late. So I’m standing there just feeling off. Then all of a sudden everything goes black. It felt like someone had turn the lights out to the world. I knew there were people all around me. So I just grabbed the first person I could, which was my cousin. I did not fall to the ground.

He grabbed me and set me down bringing me water. Once I started to drink the water my eye sight started to come back. I think this happen because of partying the night before and not properly eating and staying hydrated. Ever since then if I smoke I make sure I eat and drink a lot of water. I have not experience anything like this since then. I did go to the ER just to make sure everything was ok. They just told me I was dehydrated.

Scientific Reason: James Giordano, professor of neurology and biochemistry at Georgetown University Medical Center says, Anxiety or feeling jittery is especially common for people new to smoking weed and unfamiliar with being high. Another reason why weed might make you feel anxious, is THC binds to the brain’s cannabinoid receptors, releasing the neurotransmitters dopamine, serotonin, and GABA, a neurotransmitter that stops neurons from firing. Which reduced norepinephrine this has a rebound effect for some people. that causes your sympathetic nervous system to go into overdrive, causing a increase in heart rate and a release of cortisol, which causes anxiety.

If your just beginning your journey with Marijauan I would recommend smoking only with family and friends. So if you do have a negative reaction you will have people around you that actually care. Smoking weed and chilling with family, is the safest thing to do.
